Yahoo Sports had a story about a boxing system that scores fights better. It was converted to MMA and used at UFC 76. Not sure if this is better or not. I am sure we can find problems with both systems. I am not a big boxing guy so I can’t tell you if it is good or not or how much boxing uses it. I know there have been some MMA decisions that seemed to go either way. Maybe this system will make the split decisions far and in between or it could force fighters to throw more soft punches just to score if it ever has any future influence on MMA.
